Sothebys NY’s Art as Jewelry as Art sale, taking place from 24 September until 4 October, will include an NFT: the digital twin of Francine Ballard of Metagolden’s Ethereum Expedition ring. The ring is inspired by the intercontinental rocket launches that are likely not so far off from our future reality. Metagolden envisions this ‘phygital’ pairing as doubling the value of the buyer’s investment, as they will receive both the physical gold ring and digital rendering.
